Northeast village, home of Chinese acrobatics

     Northeast Village in Hualong district, Puyang city is famous for its acrobatics. The village has a long history of performing acrobatics. Folk acrobatics were popular as early as The Three Kingdoms period and reached their peak in the Qing dynasty. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, more than 600 acrobatic elites have been brought to China and abroad, among which 37 are the leaders of acrobatic troupes in various cities. 

     From 1993 to 1998, acrobats from here to all over the country won the world's highest award - the Austrian ugly duckling award in the world for 5 consecutive years, which made a sensation all over the world. In recent years, news media from Austria, Canada, Italy, Japan, Russia, Singapore and other countries have come here to seek their source. Puyang folk acrobatics are very popular in the USA Disneyland. Acrobatics has become a part of the life of zhuang people in northeast China. Top to the ninety-nine, bottom to just walk, everyone can show his skill by practicing acrobatics. There are more than 2,600 people in the village, 40% of whom can perform acrobatics. Northeast village acrobatics are mostly famous for Qiao, Liu, and Li class.
